Metallic Patina

I've been exploring with metallic inks on my jewelry. I like the result A LOT and maybe will stick to bright colors+metallic patinas for a while...

I love the antique feeling they acquire with some touches of gold or bronze. (I'll try silver very soon)

Thanks Louise for the suggestion. I had it in my mind and your comment rushed the process!

Toys for my kids

For the last couple of years I've enjoyed making some handmade toys for my boys.
This is a present I've made for Theo. He's more into trains and octopus but he certainly enjoys this little family (the favorite characters are the kitty and the baby)

The house is a recycled little box of mandarin oranges with paper mache roof and decoration.
The little puppets are made with polymer clay for the faces and the bodies are a crocheted circle shaped as a cone.

I make dolls 2- Portable Nest

This is the final piece...I'd shown a few pictures when she was in process.
I call her "Portable Nest".

I sometimes wish I'd had a mobile nest so I could go between Vancouver and Buenos Aires as much as I want...

Yum yum portable nests via Lucy.

Custom Piece

My friend Jasmine is travelling to Israel and she asked me to make a special piece to wear on her trip. She said: make me something "extravagant". Being the artist and illustrator that she is I'm used to see her surrounded by beautiful bright colors so I've interpreted her request in my own way and created this necklace for her.

I hope she likes it!

New Necklace

Manon in Arles is a very romantic necklace with a vintage, French inspiration.
I imagine Van Gogh's lover would have worn it during their time in Arles...
(Maybe in an apocryphal history at least)

Manon in Arles in Indigo and Lavender

Manon in Arles in Dust Blue and Burgundy

Manon in Arles in Leaf Green and Mauve

Manon in Arles in Red and Aqua

I've found a couple comments on previous posts...I'm thrilled that there're real people out there visiting this place. Thanks a lot for stopping by and for each of your precious comments!

Deciding on colors.

I've made a whole batch of new pieces for a series of new Necklaces.

Now the dilemma...what colors to choose?
Here's my handy color chart.

I decide on some combinations...

The necklaces look beautiful...I'll take pictures soon and will post them here.
