Fall in the Air

It's been a time of delightful custom orders. I had a lot of pleasure creating sets of custom bridesmaids necklaces.

Greens for a Fall wedding

And another order coordinated with the dresses and inspired on this photo (I'd love to give the credits but I don't have the info- feel free to contact me if you know the photographer's name)

What a wonderful array of dresses! And with that inspiration this set was born

I'll be updating my shop in short.

We have to live the house until the 15th of September so the reparations can be completed after the flood we has early in August. Since we have to be out anyway, we'll take advantage of the opportunity and visit Portland Oregon. I've longed to get to know Portland for a long time! I'm excited!

Back Home

This is an amazing view of the city from my mom's window at the Hotel last time. We returned to an upside down house - we couldn't believe the mess and the "un liveability" of the situation, but luckily some angels came to the rescue at last minute making the place liveable again. Help seems to be all around.

We're scheduling phase 2 of the repair works so very soon we'll have to switch to gypsy mode again and leave the house early in September (when school for the kids starts- oh the fun!)

The hot topic of the day is the movie "Paranorman" soon to be released...they can't wait.

Catching up with work the entire week. Working happily and intensely while thanks God! mom is here to help with everything. I don't think she worked harder on any of her previous trips. Not even when the kids were born!

Work is always rewarding and fills me with joy. The clay, the colors, the sweet combinations are therapy. This week has seen me achieve a major improvement in my color technique. I'm changing the process quite radically color wise, all for the better.

And in the midst of chaos and a non existent floor (covered by a patchwork of messy BLACK carpets) I'm thankful for my beautiful family, for the moments we share, for the roof that still is over our heads!

Tourists in Vancouver

The flood was pretty bad. Major work had to be done in our house and we had to move to a hotel in the city for a few days to let the first phase of repairs take place.

A bit stressful. Fun indeed. We're having our meals in restaurants and enjoying as much as we can while our house is in a pretty poor state. Really heartbreaking to see our nest in skeletal state with some of the flooring, carpets, walls and ceilings removed.

I can't help being suspicious of the restoration company assessment. It was a little flood and they seem to be taking the whole house apart.

The kids on vacations and my mom visiting seem to make things easier. It feels like a little adventure. (For some reason very exhausting though)

Let's see what we find tomorrow when we return.

Let's better think of birdies, OK?

A house full of monsters and good things....

Last night: the house is flooded! Pipe Blockage causing water all over the living room causing several SHOWERS in the basement. 3 adults covering the water with buckets and at least 4 big towels (Go get new ones!). 2 kids in between surprise, fear and amusement. Mica ran to save his "spooky things" I ran to save my work materials.
Plumber run to the rescue and worked until 22:30 without success. There will be more plumbing today! Mess all around

Ommmm, perhaps acupuncture today. Let's concentrate in the beauty.
