El Pichi
Baby Zorzal falls from the nest into our backyard. He can't fly and seems scared.
Pablo provides a cardboard box and wants to offer food but I notice that his mom is around and we 'd better not interfere, Mom brings him food regularly. (I can't take pics of her feeding him because as soon as I go out she flies away)
I work on my desk by the backyard and watch him all day.
He makes clumsy attempts to fly.
But he's not ready yet,

Random and Unreasonable
A shirt that my kids won't wear anymore is now mine and a matching bracelet.
Zorzalito: best singer in the world. Keep it coming Zorzal!

A working table
Sky season is on.
A beautiful sky one day.
Cloud T-Rex or it's just me?
And last, a little cabin that would match all my outfits.

Grafts
Did you know that growing a lemon seed for a couple of years and getting healthy littles trees does not guarantee that you’re going to have lemons in the future?
Devastating news.
And that’s because the seed genetic variability blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
So...
Was I supposed to go to the nursery and replace my 3 dear ones with genetically correct strangers?
Was I supposed to go to the nursery and replace my 3 dear ones with genetically correct strangers?
Well I considered that ,but luckily the Lemon Fairy (born and raised in a citric plantation) appeared, and in half an hour she grafted my little trees. I hope it works! (or else the operation has to be done again)
"Grafting is a horticultural technique whereby tissues of plants are joined so as to continue their growth together"

Earrings
We go for a day trip to a charming very quiet little town not far from home.
The boys do bicycle activities I get to sit at a cafe and work on sketches to develop my earrings prototypes.
Short but lovely time before lunchAnd then at home I make a "study board" to have all of them at sight and keep working on them (Also very useful as a jewelry organizer for daily wear :)

Birds and Flowers
A brief pause in the afternoon, sitting at the backyard and watching the humble plants that grow without effort. The bees are working around bright orange flowers and my dear "zorzal", the robin, I think, is singing non stop. He sings, sings and sings and touches my heart with his persistence.
Listening to his singing has an impact in my mood. I'm moved. I sometimes hear him when I wake in the middle of the night. And always very early when I wake up. I'll sit and have mate for a while and listen to his song coming through the window. At that time of the day, stronger than ever. My everyday friend.
At this time of the year I'm counting MANY lemon sprouts and the older lemon plants are bigger and stronger, Also all my geraniums are showing their pretty colors with bright beautiful flowers. My many geraniums started from a stolen stem from the street. Such a generous plant. I do so little for them and they make me so happy!
I don't think there's anything as beautiful as plants, flowers and birds (and trees and bees and butterflies)
So no matter how much I explore new shapes, and textures and experiment with the industrial look, I'll always will be playing with nature inspired designs.

Urban carpooling and more....
Connected siblings.
Brother Emi and I were talking to different people in different parts of the city about the same thing on the same day and time: last Tuesday morning. This city needs an app for urban carpooling. We need it badly!
I was driving a long, hostile, expensive ride from home to the city thinking that so many of us are going to the same place! Instead of exhausting ourselves in traffic and exhausting the air with pollution, can't we just share the ride? It's so obvious but it's not organized for short distances yet. (It works very well for longer trips though).

We were surprised (or not so much) that we both were talking about this at the same moment without knowing and without discussing it previously at all. There must be momentum for this in the air. I'm adding to the critical mass by throwing it into the ether!
Bro Emi says: the day we get organized we'll live better.
Smart developers! Unite, get rich and serve humanity! Would you? :)
And, on a lighter, colourful note: I've finished putting together a small jewelry collection for the Holidays. One day I though that this time I didn't have it in me to come up with new stuff (and it would have been OK too!) And the next thing I know, a nicely developed collection is pouring out of me. The creative muscle is so trained that it can do the work without much effort!
A preview here. I hope you like it! I'll show the pieces individually in the upcoming weeks.
Have an awesome restful weekend OK?

Spring Trip
Feet on Earth and Head open to the Skies.
Learning about oneself with Earth and Sky as teachers
With Fire and Water as teachers
So many treasures within ourselves waiting to be revealed and enjoyed for our own wellbeing (and other's around us, of course!). We’re already rich!
A journey that requires attention and relaxation. And perseverance!
And better if it’s shared with friends over delicious healthy food!
Heaven is on Earth! :-)

Color, shape and texture
In the face of hopelessness, viruses and overalll exhaustion throw some color, texture and shape.
As Babette said, an artist is never poor.
...or hopeless or bored I may add. (Even if some days may seem very dry)
