Spring and Fig

For many Winter months this plant was just a bare wooden stick. Naked and brown. Not a sight of green.

So tell me: how come all of a sudden all these green leaves pop out? Where do they come from? Were they rolled in ultra compressed cylinders inside the branches?

Time goes by and I can’t normalize this

Olivos

You pass in front of things for ten years and you don’t notice them until one day…you notice.

Olivos.

Olives are abundant at this time of the year in my neighborhood if you know where to look.

I have 5 kg of lovely black olives now I’ll try a salt curing method on them.

Eating figs

I come back home after vacations
And Mr. Figgy
Has two sweet figgies
To celebrate the occasion

(Do I need to say
I ate them right away?)
