Comics drawn by a boy who is an inch and a half taller than me.

He says that in his opinion, the perfect chess problem is that which has very few pieces, is simple but with a great richness of depth. While I don’t know what  it means I’m very impressed.

He loves Genesis. Despises me when I listen to Bomba Estereo. He'll be 13 in a week.

Zodiac Necklaces and little stories...

Etsy sends a newsletter featuring my Zodiac necklaces and it's 2 days of non stop orders. Lovely! I need to accommodate the work I usually do in a month in only two days. Thankful for helping hands! I always love this little adrenaline moments and enjoy the process very much.
Timing is peculiar since it's my mom surgery and I spend almost a week in the city. Days start early with walks to the hospital in the dark. Still very cold. Thermal cup in my hand. And then full days at the hospital. A microclimate. A world inside the world

Moments of rest at my mom's apartment while brother Emi is in charge. We make a solid team. Thankful for that as well!  I eat a little while watching through the 9th floor window. Skies are beautiful. A different perspective. Then I crash in her bed inside my sleeping bag for a couple of hours before going back to the hospital.

In the midst of intense activity, there're moments of laughter with brother Emi. We share tiredness and humor!

A bizarre moment: my bro and I are carrying a (light) mattress 9 floors up the stairs (don't ask why !) Midway, my brother says that my mom is convinced there's a world's conspiracy to kill all the jews at 9th B. We laugh for about a minute. And then we continue the way up.

My most dazed and confused moment: coming back from hospital I spend about 15 seconds trying to open the street door at my mom's building pressing my car lock button. It's not gonna work baby! But it takes me a while to realize what I'm doing! :-D

P. and the boys are a great team at home! Thankful for that as well!

Saturday

Lovely time with M. at her beautiful apartment. We have mate and discuss her kitty's leg that is so badly hurt. We discuss the four quadrants of human experience according to Ken Wilber, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. We discuss the possibility of acquiring a small piece of land together and fill it with trees. An idea that we both love and are afraid of but is more and more present in our conversations each day. We also talk about getting together to SING, karaoke style :-D

Then I leave for Tao In workshop with Daniel. He presents another Taoist practice for stillness, energy flow and health called  “5 cosmic clouds”  Tao In practices teach how to become still and alert inwardly so we can interact and get benefit and health from energy in Nature. This is knowledge I most resonate with. We’re a little part of Nature, part of a bigger energy field, and the more I learn how to attune with it, the better. More integration with the energy field means more happiness and health. According to taoism, illness is first energetic and emotional and finally manifests in the body. These practices teach how to unblock the body- quiet the mind to allow energy flow like clean water. (Through movement and stillness)

True interaction with Nature begins with a relaxed body that invites the mind to land in, and allows it to rest from our incessant train of thoughts (we never stop, never stop). Nature, the big field, is accesible anytime, anywhere, because it’s everything there is, permeates everything and we’re part of it :)

Then the Taoist Ladies and I have coffee and digest the practice through lots of very enjoyable conversation, and it’s time to get back home where I’m asked to make pancakes to enjoy the maple syrup bottle that P. brought. One huge batch is not enough and I have to make a second one to everyone’s delight!
