Lovely time with M. at her beautiful apartment. We have mate and discuss her kitty's leg that is so badly hurt. We discuss the four quadrants of human experience according to Ken Wilber, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. We discuss the possibility of acquiring a small piece of land together and fill it with trees. An idea that we both love and are afraid of but is more and more present in our conversations each day. We also talk about getting together to SING, karaoke style :-D
Then I leave for Tao In workshop with Daniel. He presents another Taoist practice for stillness, energy flow and health called “5 cosmic clouds” Tao In practices teach how to become still and alert inwardly so we can interact and get benefit and health from energy in Nature. This is knowledge I most resonate with. We’re a little part of Nature, part of a bigger energy field, and the more I learn how to attune with it, the better. More integration with the energy field means more happiness and health. According to taoism, illness is first energetic and emotional and finally manifests in the body. These practices teach how to unblock the body- quiet the mind to allow energy flow like clean water. (Through movement and stillness)
True interaction with Nature begins with a relaxed body that invites the mind to land in, and allows it to rest from our incessant train of thoughts (we never stop, never stop). Nature, the big field, is accesible anytime, anywhere, because it’s everything there is, permeates everything and we’re part of it :)
Then the Taoist Ladies and I have coffee and digest the practice through lots of very enjoyable conversation, and it’s time to get back home where I’m asked to make pancakes to enjoy the maple syrup bottle that P. brought. One huge batch is not enough and I have to make a second one to everyone’s delight!
